Yard waste can be disposed of via your regular residential trash supplier, simply call to set up yard waste service.

If you need to dispose of electronics, such as TV's, computers, printers, or fax machines, etc. go online and search "Electronic Recycling" for your specific town.  Most villages have a drop box that you can take these items to.  In addition, many Best Buys also allow you to bring in your old electronics.


If you have an old refrigerator or freezer containing Freon and it still works call Com Ed to schedule  a free pick up of the item and they will pay you $35.00.  You can also schedule this service online.


Hazardous materials or chemicals can be safely and legally disposed of by contacting Swalco.org and scheduling an appointment time to drop off the items.


Dried Paint can be toxic, oil paint must be disposed of at a recycling center, while latex-paint can be made safe by mixing it with cat litter, allow to dry, replace lid & you can put into the dumpster.


​MATTRESSES, BOX SPRINGS, and SOFA SLEEPERS are permitted but charged an additional $25.00 per item.  When calling or emailing that you're done, please notify dispatcher the number of mattresses, boxsprings and sofa sleepers in the dumpster and your credit card will be charged for the additional items at that time.  If you fail to notify us of these items and we dump at a higher cost disposal site, you will be charged the rate of that facility which could be up to $100 per item.
